Coverking Universal Car CoversCoverking`s Universal Car Covers are made up of three materials, Coverguard, Triguard and Coverbond 4. Coverguard provides protection in light weather, while Triguard is for light to medium weather and Coverbond 4 for harsher conditions. Like Coverking's Custom Car Covers, our Universal Car Covers are breathable as well as water and UV rays resistant.

Universal Car Covers Truck Covers SUV Covers Limo Covers Covers
Custom Car Covers are the best choice for fit and protection. However, in some cases price and availability are more important. For these situations, Coverking offers a line of Universal Car Covers. Universal Car Covers are designed to fit several vehicles in a specific size range. For example, a Universal Car Cover size CAR3 will fit a Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Mercedes C-Class, etc. A Custom Car Cover for one of these vehicles will not fit the other vehicles. Because of this, Universal Covers are available off-the-shelf from many automotive parts stores. They can be made in bulk, so the manufacturing costs are lower, and the patterns usually do not have mirror pockets. Coverking has a complete line of Universal Car Covers, Universal Truck covers, Universal SUV Covers & Universal Limo Covers. These covers are offered in 3 fabric choices: Coverguard, Triguard, and Coverbond 4. Coverking also offers Motorcycle and ATV covers.
Materials: Coverking's three Universal Car Cover materials are designed to offer a complete line of protection for most needs and budgets. Not all materials are available in all Universal cover sizes.
Coverguard: The lowest cost material, Coverguard is a good choice for budget minded consumers looking for basic, light weather protection. The material used in Coverguard is Spunbond Polypropylene, and is used in a single layer format. U.V. inhibitors have been added to help reduce the deteriorating effects of the sun's rays.
Triguard: Two layers of Coverguard cover a middle layer of breathable yet water resistant material. Triguard is a good choice for light to medium weather. It is easy to store and soft on a vehicle's paint. U.V. inhibitors have also been added. Triguard is not recommended for significant rain, snow or ice.
Coverbond 4: Four layers of extra thick protection. Coverbond 4 is thick and an excellent choice for more severe weather. The extra thickness gives added protection from minor hail, dents, dings, nicks and damage from other hazards.
Universal Car, Truck, Van, SUV Covers
MATERIAL
Coverking uses spunbond polyester. Most competitors use spunbond polypropylene. Polyropylene is inherently less UV resistant and is more likely to degrade with exposure to UV rays emitted from the sun. Coverking also adds additional UV retardant, which ensures even longer stability in the sun. Finally, Coverking insists on 85 gram per square meter - far thicker than the usual 70 gram used by most competitors.
CONSTRUCTION
Coverking uses wax coated thread in overlapped, double stitched seams. The wax coating expands in the pierced hole created during the stitching process, to help cover the hole. Once again, some competitors take the cheaper route by using an ultra-sonic welding of the material instead of sewing. This process is far cheaper, because it melts the fabric layers together. It also doesn't use any thread. Unfortunately, the area melted together becomes very hard and examples of scratching the vehicle surface are not uncommon.

Coverking offers a 1 year repair or replace warranty on universal Coverguard covers.
CARE and CLEANING
Coverguard can be easily cleaned by washing while on a vehicle. Use common carwash detergent, and air dry.
Triguard Car Cover is a value fabric used by Coverking for our mid level universal car covers and entry level custom car covers. This material is made in Taiwan. The technical name of this material is Spunbond Polyester laminated to Meltblown Polypropylene laminated to Spunbond Polyester. The specification Coverking uses for Triguard is far superior to other 3 layer car cover materials available.
