Coverking Triguard Car Covers

Coverking Triguard Custom Car Cover
A Great Car Cover Material for Light Weather Triguard is a special three layer material intended for light to medium weather outdoor or indoor use. Perfect for protection from dust and animal droppings, not suggested for harsh weather conditions. For those who want the Coverking Custom Fit, but don't need protection from heavy weather, Triguard Custom Car Covers are a great choice. Triguard is a lightweight, three layer material which protects from dirt, dust, light water, bird droppings and other mild hazards. It is perfect for use in a garage or under a carport. Triguard is also treated with UV inhibitors, which helps it stand up to ultra-violet rays emitted by the sun. Although Triguard contains these UV inhibitors, it is not recommended for very sunny climates - Silverguard or Stormproof would be better options. Triguard covers are gray in color and with all Coverking Custom Car Covers, Triguard is custom made to order and takes 7 - 10 days. Triguard is a thin and lightweight fabric. The lightness makes it very easy to handle, but offers little protection from dings and scratches. If your vehicle is exposed to dings and scratches from pets, children or a crowded garage, we recommend Coverbond.

Triguard Custom Car Covers are available with Coverking's famous Custom Fit and the unique pattern designs which result in the fewest seams possible—Compare the images above. Coverking uses the fewest seams to produce a perfect, custom fit without the "patchwork" look created by sewing small pieces together. Although it costs more, Coverking's designs result in superior fit, looks, and less chance of seams failing or leaking.

Triguard is a value fabric used by Coverking for our mid level universal car covers and entry level custom car covers. This material is made in Taiwan. The technical name of this material is Spunbond Polyester laminated to Meltblown Polypropylene laminated to Spunbond Polyester. The specification Coverking uses for Triguard is far superior to other 3 layer car cover materials available.

Coverking uses spunbond polyester for both outer layers. Most competitors use spunbond polypropylene. Polyropylene is inherently less UV resistant and is more likely to degrade with exposure to UV rays emitted from the sun. Coverking also adds additional UV retardant, which ensures even longer stability in the sun. Finally, Coverking insists on the heaviest inner and outer layer materials. Most other companies use materials about 15% lighter than Coverking.

Coverking uses wax coated thread in overlapped, double stitched seams. The wax coating expands in the pierced hole created during the stitching process, to help cover the hole. Once again, some competitors take the cheaper route by using an ultra-sonic welding of the material instead of sewing. This process is far cheaper, because it melts the fabric layers together. It also doesn't use any thread. Unfortunately, the area melted together becomes very hard and examples of scratching the vehicle surface are not uncommon.

Coverking offers a 1 year repair or replace warranty on universal Triguard covers.

Triguard can be easily cleaned by washing while on a vehicle. Use common carwash detergent, and air dry.
