Coverking Coverbond Car Covers

Coverking Coverbond Car Covers
An extra thick 4 layer material designed to help prevent nicks and door dings. The thickness of Coverbond 4 absorbs most minor impacts, and stands up to the elements. Note that due to the extra bulk of Coverbond 4, consideration must be given if purchasing a Coverbond 4 cover for a large vehicle or truck. Ultra-custom car covers available in several materials and colors. Coverking custom car covers simply fit and look the best. Coverking uses large, one piece panels as opposed to other companies, whose covers look like a patchwork of small pieces sewn together. Coverking has engineered it's own fabrics to ensure it offers the highest performing fabric for every application. 4 layers make Coverbond 4 a very thick Custom Car Cover. However, the extra bulk helps to guard against minor nicks and dings, and even helps in light hail. Coverbond 4 is suggested for moderate weather or indoor use.
Coverbond 4 is a thick, premium all-weather fabric used by Coverking for our premium level universal car covers and mid level custom car covers. This material is made in Taiwan. The technical name of this material is Spunbond Polyester laminated to 2 layers of Meltblown Polypropylene laminated to Spunbond Polyester. The specification Coverking uses for Coverbond 4 is far superior to other 4 layer car cover materials available.

MATERIAL
Coverking uses spunbond polyester for both outer layers. Most competitors use spunbond polypropylene. Polyropylene is inherently less UV resistant and is more likely to degrade with exposure to UV rays emitted from the sun. Coverking also adds additional UV retardant, which ensures even longer stability in the sun. Finally, Coverking insists on the heaviest inner and outer layer materials. Most other companies use materials about 15% lighter than Coverking.

CONSTRUCTION
Coverking uses wax coated thread in overlapped, double stitched seams. The wax coating expands in the pierced hole created during the stitching process, to help cover the hole. Once again, some competitors take the cheaper route by using an ultra-sonic welding of the material instead of sewing. This process is far cheaper, because it melts the fabric layers together. It also doesn't use any thread. Unfortunately, the area melted together becomes very hard and examples of scratching the vehicle surface are not uncommon.

WARRANTY
Coverking offers a 1 year repair or replace warranty on universal and custom Coverbond 4 covers.

CARE and CLEANING
Coverbond 4 can be easily cleaned by washing while on a vehicle. Use common carwash detergent, and air dry.
